ITINERARY:

Sunday, Day 01:    Arrival - Vientiane                     (-/-/D)
Arrive Vientiane airport and transfer to hotel for check in.
PM: Sightseeing tour : Visit Vat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane,   built in 1818 and Ho Phra Keo former royal temple and free time at Talat Sao, the central market, stop at Patouxay (the Victory Gate), then Vat Si Muang with its flowers stalls. Continue visit That Luang Stupa, 45m.high and the most revered shrine in Laos. Dinner and accommodation .

Monday, Day 02:    Vientiane - Luang Prabang         (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel.
08.00: Transfer to the airport for departure flight
09.40: Depart Vientiane by QV 109 for Luang Prabang
10.20: Arrive Luang Prabang and transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant. PM: Visit Vat Visoune with Tat Makmo, the watermelon shape stupa and stop at Vat Aham. Dinner and accommodation

Tuesday, Day 03: Luang Prabang                     (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel
08.00: Visit Vat Xieng Thong the most beautiful temple of Luang Prabang, then take the traditional boat trip upstream on the Mekong River to visit the famous caves of Pak-Ou, located at the side of the steep cliff on the bank of the Mekong River housing hundreds of Buddha statues.
Lunch at Pha Ang Restaurant.
PM: On the way back by boat visit Ban Xiang Khong, the hand made paper village.
Vat Mai with its beautiful five-tiered roof and carved veranda, climb up the Phousi Hill for overlooking the city and surroundings. Dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation

Wednesday, Day 04:    Luang Prabang - Hanoi                 (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel
08.00    Visit the National museum (the former king”s palace). Lunch at local restaurant.
Transfer to the airport for check in for departure flight to Hanoi
16.45    Depart Luang Prabang airport for by QV 313 for Hanoi
17.45    Arrive Hanoi, transfer to Sunway Hotel or similar for check in.
Dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation
Important notice: All passengers who arrive from Laos or late afternoon or evening flight will miss the cyclo tour and water puppet show with no sure possibility of doing it later throughout the tour.
 
Thursday, Day 05: Hanoi - Halong                        (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to the Ho Chi Minh”s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the full month of October and November), his former residence and One Pillar Pagoda.  Also visit the Temple of Literature built in the 11th Century as Vietnam”s First university, Quan Thanh Temple and Fine Arts Museum. Lunch at local restaurant.
Drive to Haiphong, around 100 km east of Hanoi, to visit the Garden Theatre, Du Hang Pagoda and Kenh Temple before proceeding to Halong Bay. Dinner and accommodation a

Friday, Day 06: Halong Bay- Hanoi-Danang-Hoi An         (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel.
Boat trip on Halong Bay, is a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. ‘Dragon descending to the sea‘ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes such as Thien Cung and Dau Go.  Seafood lunch on board. Drop off in Halong town.  Proceed to Hanoi”s International Airport for the flight to Danang.

:  Depending on the flight time from Hanoi to Danang we may include a little visit or orientation tour in Hanoi before the transfer to the airport 


Saturday, Day 07: Hoi An - Danang - Hoi An                (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Danang, transfer to visit Cham Museum; Marble Mountain and China Beach. Back to Hoi An. Lunch at local restaurant. Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries.  Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and the workshop of traditional occupation of Hoi An ancient town. Dinner and accommodation .

Sunday, Day 08: Hoi An - Danang - Hue                 (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel.
07:30: Drive to Hue across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Arrival on Hue, the royal city of Vietnam”s last ruling dynasty and transfer to the Saigon Morin Hotel or similar, then visit Tu Duc tomb. Lunch at local restaurant. 
PM: Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba  market. Dinner and accommodation
Note:  When water level in Perfume River is too high and boat trips are not possible we will change this excursion by a cyclo ride
.

Monday, Day 09:    Hue - Ho Chi Minh City                (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Phubai airport. Depart Hue by flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Go straight to visit the Reunification Palace and make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Notre Dame Church, and Central Post Office. Lunch at local restaurant. City tour: visit War Remains Museum , China town and Thien Hau Pagoda. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner at local restaurant

Tuesday, Day 10:Ho Chi Minh City-Cu Chi-Tay Ninh      (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel.
AM: Excursion to Tay Ninh church, center of the Cao-Daism religion which combines Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. Lunch en route. PM: Visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation

Wednesday, Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap       (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Time at leisure for own activities before transfer to the airport.

12.40: Arrive Siem Reap and transfer to the hotel for check-in

Friday, Day 13:     Siem Reap - Phnom Penh                 (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel.
AM: Visit Floating village and take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap
. Lunch at hotel. PM: Visit of Ta Prohm, Phrah Khan and Neak Pean temple. Transfer to Siem Reap airport for flight to Phnom Penh. Depart Siem Reap by flight to Phnom Penh. Arrive Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner and accommodation
Note: The boat trip on the Ton Le Sap lake is not recommend during the dry season from February to July due to the low level of the water and the bad smell surrounding the area. In this sense we will propose a tour to visit Silk Farm of Pouk instead.


Saturday, Day 14: Phnom Penh - Departure                   (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. AM: Phnom Penh City tour : Visit National Museum, Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. Lunch at hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure flight to the another destination.

The New Year’s Day “Tet” will be held on February 14th in 2010. Domestic tourism will increase dramatically starting some days before and lasting at least 1 week.  Many overseas Vietnamese will come back to their motherland and arrival terminals at main airports will be extremely busy from Feb 05 till Feb 20 ,10. Markets, shops ,museums and many local restaurants are closed during “Tet” leading to some changes in our programs. “Tet” festivities last around 4 days and are considered as National Holiday.  We do not recommend traveling during this period.
