Day 1:Arrive Kotakinabalu Arrive Kota Kinabalu, meet and transfer to Hyatt Regency Hotel. In the evening, proceed for a brief sunset tour covering Signal Hill overlooking the city centre and the offshore islands and Tanjung Aru beach. Visit the night market to bargain for the wide array of local spices, souvenirs, fruits and vegetables. Proceed to a restaurant for dinner before we return. Overnight at Hyatt Regency Hotel. (D) Note: Due to access limitation, the visit to Signal Hill is only accessible by 8 seater van and not feasible for a group of 8 persons and above.
Day 2: Visit to Tuaran
Pick up from Hyatt Regency Hotel and proceed to Tuaran town and visit the central and fish market. Walk across the suspension bridge nearby and if weather permits, cycle (optional) through villages, orchards and rubber plantation. Have tea or coffee break at a local village. You can have an optional foot massage (at a surcharge) at the society for the blind centre. This is an opportunity to soothe tired legs and to contribute to the visually impaired. Transfer back to hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Hyatt Regency Hotel (B)

Day 3:Tip of Borneo Pick up from Hyatt Regency Hotel and 2½ hours journey past Dusun villages, paddy fields and palm oil plantations to the land of the last longhouses in Kudat. After lunch, set off for the Tip of Borneo where South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea.Visit the tranquil secluded beach of Kg. Kimihang for a swim. Proceed to Kg. Tinangol for our overnight guesthouse. Enjoy fresh coconut drink and witness cultural activities while mingling with the friendly local folks and children. Enjoy a traditional-style dinner followed by a colourful cultural performance by the local Rungus community. Overnight in Longhouse. Mattress and mosquito net are provided. (BLD)
Day 4:Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site Wake up to the calls of roosters and enjoy the tranquility of the village. Take your local breakfast before we trek to the nearby rubber estate. Test your skill at rubber tapping. Continue journey to Kinabalu Park. At Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site, visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden, home to various species of the flowering Rhododendrons, carnivorous pitcher plants, orchids, ferns, oak trees and birds. Night temperature at the park is around 14°C - 25°C. If time and weather permits, take a guided walk on one of the trails in the cool surrounding to observe the montane forest. Overnight at Celyn Resort. Day 5:Poring - Sandakan
After breakfast, continue 40 km overland journey to Poring, 1,500 ft above sea level, east of Kinabalu Park HQ. Explore tropical lowland rainforest and the jungle trail leading up to the treetop canopy walkways, suspended 41 meters above the forest floor across giant Mengaris trees (excludes camera/video fee). Proceed by overland to Sandakan. Overnight at Sepilok Nature Resort. (BLD)
Day 6:Sepilok - Sukau
Pick up from Sepilok Nature Resort and transfer to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre for a video show. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000hrs. Continue to Sandakan jetty for 2½ hours boat journey to newly renovated multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlife in virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. Late afternoon take a river cruise using electric motor in search of some of the 10 primate species. Sukau is home to Borneo pygmy elephants, orang utans, proboscis monkeys and all eight species of hornbill in Borneo. Return for solar heated hot shower, candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank and slide show conducted by naturalist guide. Overnight at the award winning newly renovated Sukau Rainforest Lodge, named by National Geographic Adventure magazine in 2009 as one of the top 50 jungle lodges in the world. (BLD)
Day 7:Sukau
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. A 0600hrs morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour on the Hornbill Boardwalk located behind the lodge with our in-house naturalist. You also have the option to participate in our Kinabatangan Wildlife Corridor Regeneration Programme (KWICORP) by planting trees on our 65 acres adopted land. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. After dinner an optional night safari cruise (at a surcharge) spotting nocturnal animals, crocodiles and birds. Overnight at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. (BLD)
Day 8:Departure After breakfast, return to Sandakan by boat journey. Have lunch before we transfer to airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
